Jerry W. Bell

| Senior ADVISOR

Jerry Bell has a long and distinguished career in the Franchising industry and joined FranCounsel in 2005 as a Senior Advisor. Jerry began his career and spent 15 years with The Coca-Cola Company (the world’s largest Franchisor via its’ own franchise bottling system as well as the largest vendor to the largest franchise segment, QSR). He first spent 4 years as a Strategic Planner serving as the company’s interface with leading global strategic consulting firms. This strategic focus guided his career through strategic marketing and general management roles including service as an International Division VP. With his global team, he designed and implemented an International Franchise launch for Minute Maid cans and bottles in dozens of markets.

He also served as President of the Far East for Campbell Soup reintroducing the brand to China after a 34 year absence and leading the franchise efforts of Godiva Chocolate shops. He later spent 7 years at AFC Enterprises, a publicly-traded company, first as the VP of Corporate International Business Development (5 Brands) and then 5 years as a Division Chief Operating Officer creating the International Divisions of 2 separate companies, Cinnabon and Seattle's Best Coffee, which he subsequently merged and grew to over 400 franchised units in 30 countries. Today that division, along with subsequent brand launches, accounts for 1,200 units in 55 countries. In his various roles he has evaluated hundreds of international franchise business proposals.

Jerry has been associated with the franchise community for over 35 years and is an active member of the International Franchise Association where he has served for many years as a business roundtable chair and the South-East Franchise Forum. He is a Board/Advisory Board member to a number of leading global companies including ZeeWise, the world’s leading provider of Franchise Business Intelligence software systems. Jerry received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard University.

Georges Sayegh

| Senior ADVISOR

Georges Sayegh is the founding partner of Sayegh Firm, a franchise and technology transfer consulting firm. He earned a diploma in accounting from HEC Montréal and he is a member of the Association of Certified Management Consultants of Ontario. Mr. Sayegh has close to 25 years experience in national and international consulting and nearly 10 years of experience in public administration (Canada Revenue Agency) in charge of franchising and licensing.  He was a former partner of Mallette Maheu / Arthur Andersen in charge of the franchises of the 38 offices in Quebec.  He also has ten years in auditing experience, including a position with Price Waterhouse, and four years in senior management of a US $ 8.5 billion multinational (Ingersoll-Rand).

Mr. Sayegh is an experienced speaker and seminar facilitator for numerous professional, institutional, business and academic organizations on a variety of topics including franchising, administration, finance, licensing and technology transfer.  He has taught at the Master's level in business administration (Université Laval) and has published 18 books in French in the area of administration, finance, and franchising.   The latest publication is a bilingual dictionary (French-English Dictionary and Lexicon of Franchising), the first time that such a publication has been presented worldwide. 

Nancy Criconet

| Consultant

Nancy Criconet is a Franchise professional who has held positions in Franchise Development, Sales, Marketing and Operations for over 15 years. Nancy has been working as a senior international franchise consultant for FranCounsel Group (FCG) since 2007. Through her career at FCG and earlier experiences, she has worked on dozens of international development plans.

Nancy’s professional experience includes business administration, operations, marketing, sales and business development. Prior to working for FCG, Nancy was employed as the Director of Franchise Development for The Lunch Lady Group and a Special Projects and Marketing Manager for Xela Enterprises Ltd. in the business development division for the Arturo’s restaurant chain in Venezuela.

Nancy has a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University in Ontario, Canada with a major in Psychology. She completed her graduate studies in the International M.B.A. program at the Schulich School of Business (York University). Nancy received University accreditation from the University of Guadalajara (Mexico) as well as ITESM (Monterrey, Mexico). Nancy is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of French. She has also lived and worked in Mexico, Venezuela and Argentina. Nancy enjoys public speaking and is frequently invited to speak at various industry events to discuss the business of Franchising.

Julia Jones, Esquire, Juris Doctor

| Chief Legal Counsel

Julia joined FCG in 2007 as Chief Legal Counsel. She has a 15 year career in transactional law with a current focus on the International sector. She has overseen the creation of many dozens of International Franchise/Development Agreements and the structuring of business units. She earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Virginia and her J.D. from the University of Richmond.
